Then Sol Dog’s Junior Dog Handling Camp is perfect for you!
This camp is geared towards teaching kids ages 9-15 to socialize safely with dogs, read body language, and respect a dog’s boundaries.
Kids will also learn basic training techniques such as sit-stays, down-stays, stay in place, and come when called. They’ll also get the opportunity to practice with our demo dogs on an agility obstacle course which includes jumping through hoops, racing through tunnels, and weaving though poles—this is exciting stuff! Kids will be working with three to four extremely social dogs handpicked by our trainer.
Our trainer will also use interactive multimedia presentations to teach about breed types, breed groups, different dog sports, and types of training. The last 30 minutes of each class will be downtime for the dogs while kids will get to create doggie-themed art work that they can take home on the last day.

This camp will be an interactive opportunity for kids to work with dogs in an educational setting.
Thanks to a VERY generous organization, Contact One Call Center, we’ll be able to provide partial scholarships for kids in attendance. All they have to do is apply (below) and submit a short essay on why they want to attend. We will be gifting up a dozen $50 scholarships applied to the camp.

COST OF EACH 4-DAY SESSION IS $199 – WE HAVE 12 $50 SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

Junior Dog Handler Camp - Application Form
Thank you for registering and applying for a scholarship for your child to attend Jr. Dog Handler Camp, to be held at Sol Dog Lodge Grooming Spot and Training Center 9665 N Thornydale Rd, Tucson, AZ 85742.
Please complete one application form per child. After you submit this form, you will be invoiced for the camp fee which you may pay via credit or debit card. You will also receive a pdf registration form for you to print out, complete, and return by email.
We must receive payment and a completed and signed Registration Form for your child to be considered registered to attend the Camp.
