Pete Buenting

As Facilities Manager I’m responsible for the maintenance, safety, and stewardship of the Sol Dog buildings and grounds. With over 40 years of experience in multiple and varied aspects of problem solving, repair, construction, and management of diverse types of operations, predominately in the non-profit space.

My wife and I have had pets our entire lives and currently serve 6 dogs and 2 cats in our humble abode. Every day I strive to make their lives better; at their request we even invested in an old motorhome so that they could travel around the country exploring new smells, plants, and animal life.  

I retired from full time work in March and have been part time at Sol Dog since July.  I’m excited to be a supporting part of the Sol Dog team and providing a safe place for Dogs and the people who care for them.  I’m particularly excited to be part of the design and construction of the future vet clinic.
